Parliament passes landmark bill banning cigarette sales to anyone born after 2008

The Tobacco and Vapes Bill has cleared both the Commons and the Lords, creating a lifelong ban on buying cigarettes for anyone aged 17 or younger — a measure the Government has called the biggest public health intervention in a generation.
